This Tanjore painting of Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles and bestower of success, is seated with 4 arms, holding Pasham (noose), Goad(Axe), Modaka (Sweet) and a broken tusk. The golden seat, pillar and roof is embellished with minute art work and tastefully decorated with traditional pattern. The Prabhavali, also known as Tiruvachi (arch) behind Lord Ganesha is intricately decorated with the mystical Yazhi on top. Dressed in pitambari (yellow) and gold with flawless patterns, it is hard to look away from him, thereby immersing the devotee with peace and divine blessings.
