Goddess Lakshmi symbolizes prosperity in both material and spiritual sense. The word Lakshmi is derived from the sanskrit word Lakshya meaning goal. Lakshmi, the consort of Shri MahaVishnu helps her devotees attain their goals, be it opulance and splendor in material life or Salvation in spiritual world.
The Brass Gajalakshmi Lamp here is a symbol of grandiose with a set of 3 carved legs to support a polished shiny oil reservoir to hold sufficient oil to keep the lamp lit for about 12 hours. The Lakshmi seated on an ornate Lotus and flanked by two elephants and a prabhavali with Yaazhi head is a perfect standalone Murti in the Puja altar or a decor piece to elude auspiciousness in the living room.
